GREG Royston, Kearsney College’s Star of the Month, is a consistently high achiever in the classroom and on South Africa’s fairways and greens, always displaying great sportsmanship and humility.
Last week he heard he had achieved more than 80 per cent in the SA National Accounting Olympiad, to go through to the second round.
Greg is in Kearsney’s prestigious 12 Club, whose members comprise the top academic achievers in Grade 12.
He has also been selected for the KZN men’s provincial golf team, to play in the premier South African interprovincial tournament in Rustenburg during September. He won the silver medal for runner up in the KZN Closed Championship last month. His third round score of 66 was the lowest score in the tournament. He finished on +1 for the 72 hole tournament, five shots ahead of third place. He is now ranked sixth in the KZN men’s amateur rankings.
