Eco -Club helps tackle railway line aliens.

Winston Park Primary School is helping the fight against alien vegetation.

WINSTON Park Primary School’s Eco – Club members, parents and teachers gave up a Saturday to assist with the removal of alien vegetation.

Under the guidance of George Victor from Hillcrest Conservancy, they cleared a section of the railway line in Hillcrest of alien vegetation. One of the Winston Park moms, Joyce Green Govender, set up a much appreciated refreshment station.

“The removal of aliens is a huge and on-going project and we commend people like George and the Hillcrest Conservancy for the excellent work they do in our area. We were proud to play our part. It was a rewarding and happy morning shared by the Winston Park Primary family,” said Mrs Robyn Hewitt, a grade 7 teacher, in charge of the Eco – Club at Winston Park Primary School.
