Kelsi is an all-round sports star
Westville Girls' High School has chosen Kelsi Johnston as its sportswoman of the year.
KELSI Johnston of Westville Girls’ High School was named all round sportswoman of the year at the school’s annual sports awards evening.
The trophy for this achievement was awarded to a talented young lass who has excelled and participated in a number of sports. She has been a member of the 1st outdoor hockey team since 2011.
She participated in the All Girls’ National Festival within the hockey touring team, also since 2011.
Kelsi is also a member of the 2nd indoor hockey team and was a relief player for the 1st team this year.
She excelled in both softball and touch rugby where she represented KZN U17 softball and touch rugby teams since 2012, and has received her full colours for both these sports.
Kelsi has also been a member of the Pinetown and District team for cross country in 2012 and has represented the Athletics Pinetown and District teams every year since Grade 8. She is the captain of both athletics and cross country.
