Fun and smiles at Celebration of Life party
More entertainment and added extras created a bigger and better party.
THE Robin Hood Foundation’s “Celebration of Life” party at Enthembeni school in Inchanga was bigger and better than ever.
The children were able to enjoy loads of fun fair entertainment, including the popular Thomas the Tank train, brush ponies from SARDA (South African Riding for the Disabled), dance to disco music, get their faces painted, have balloons sculpted and enjoy a magic show. There was also lots to eat including cake, sweets, candy floss and pizza.
This event is a highlight on the children’s calendar as they spend the afternoon forgetting about their disabilities and just having loads of fun.
Kim Griffith Jones, RHF said, “This year, Cindy Norcott, Chairlady of the RHF, had a goal to ‘take the funfair’ to the children, most of whom will not get to experience anything like this as most don’t even get to go home more than once a year due to their disabilities. Grateful thanks to all who contributed to making this day so special for all the children especially the wonderful team of volunteers that helped us pack and deliver, as well as Spar Kings Road for donating all the cake, juices and party pack sweeties and treats, and to all the other sponsors.”
“This is a much anticipated annual event on Robin Hood’s calendar and for the past three years we’ve so looked forward to going back to celebrate the lives of these children. We were once again blown away by the amazing support from the Communities. What a very special day for these children and all who attended. Thank you from our Team.”
