PMB mayor injured in serious accident
PBM mayor's vehicle collides with truck.
THE Msunduzi Mayor, Chris Ndlela, was involved in a serious accident on the N3 (near Shongweni) while traveling to Durban on Monday 10 February at approximately 9.15am.
According to Derrick Banks, of ER24, the mayor’s vehicle collided with a truck traveling in the same direction. The driver and the mayor’s body guard sustained minor cuts and abrasions, while the mayor sustained internal injuries as well as minor cuts and abrasions.
“All the patients are is a stable condition, and have been transported to the Hillcrest Hospital,” said Banks.
Banks also reported that a secondary accident occurred shortly after the initial incident. A BWM and a bakkie were involved in the accident, and three people sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
