St Mary’s to tackle Dusi for CHOC

St Mary's to raise funds for CHOC.

ST Mary’s learners are doing their bit to support CHOC.

A motivational talk by Lauren Varty, a St Mary’s grade 11 learner about her fundraising endeavours for CHOC, gave St Mary’s teachers, Nicky Simpson and Gail Mann, and deputy head girl, Sarah Cluver and learner, Chantal Botha, the inspirational idea to tackle the Dusi on behalf of children with cancer.

Sarah and Chantal have teamed up with their dads, Guy and Marco and the two teachers will also compete together in a double. They will be wearing the special COWS suits which is the fundraising arm of CHOC. At the end of the Dusi Marathon, Nicky and Gail will join the school’s running club and run through the streets of Kloof carrying the 103 signatures of the St Mary’s DSG girls on the canoe.

Guy Botha will also donate R5 of every milkshake purchased from Bellevue Café by a learner in a St Mary’s uniform.
