Crime fighting initiatives strengthened

ADT Security Company supports local neighbourhood watch.

A RECENT donation has bolstered the resources of the Pine Ridge Neighbourhood Watch (PRNW).

The watch received a new two-way radio, valued at R2 000, from ADT Security Company, as well as R1 500 worth of boerewors for a recent fundraiser, which was hosted by the watch.

Chairman, Dylan Jenkins, thanked ADT for their generous donation and on-going support. “Through partnerships like these we have been able to reduce crime by 75 per cent in our neighbourhood. Our neighbourhood watch has helped our community to understand the solution instead of always focusing on the problems and we remain committed to rebuilding our community one day at a time,” said Jenkins.

Rian Buys, ADT Security Community Development Manager for South Durban, said, “ADT is committed to forming partnerships with local crime fighting organisations to proactively reduce criminal activity. Having and maintaining good working relationships between various community safety organisations, like neighbourhood watches, private security companies and the police, is very important as they can yield positive results in the fight against crime.”
