Pupils step it up for charity

Thomas More College pupils braved the sudden downpour last Friday to raise funds for the school's Outreach project.

THE pupils at Thomas More College once again donned their running shoes and walked laps around the school to raise money for Outreach.

Outreach plays a large role at Thomas More College and the whole school is actively involved. Pupils are either sponsored per lap or they provide a donation. Although a very wet day, the pupils were full of energy and good spirit. Last year the school raised about R180 000 towards the Outreach programme through its various fundraisers.

Philip Lanz, head of Outreach at Thomas More College, said, “The pupils’ spirits were not dampened by the weather as they remembered why they were doing it.”
