DURING the last four weeks of the first term at Kloof High School, its Interact Club has spearheaded and driven and Easter Egg collection.
“It was very pleasing to note the generosity of the Kloof High family,” said Dawn Lefort, principal of Kloof High School.
The club collected approximately 50 boxes of marshmallow eggs, chocolate-coated Easter eggs, and approximately 200 loose chocolate and chocolate-coated marshmallow eggs. The proceeds of the collection have been divided between two recipients, the Sethani Community Centre (just outside the entrance to Inanda Dam) and the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust.
Sethani will host children’s activities during the school holidays and it will use the donated eggs for prizes and for its treasure hunts. The Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust plans to include the Easter eggs in its “Gogo Food Parcels” that it delivers on a regular basis to residents in the valley.
