Cedar House wins cross country event

Sportsmanship and camaraderie were evident at the school's cross country event.

THE Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase CURRO HCA children had a fun morning of running, camaraderie and sportsmanship at their inter-house cross country.

A tough course consisting of a mixture of grassy fields and trails, steep banks, long uphills and downhills, was set up around the school with the courses ranging from 1km for the grade 1s up to 3km for the Grade 7s.

The grade 7 races were won by Erin Burgess and Joshua Barrett who were also awarded the Victrix and Victor Ludorum trophies.

All the children took part in in order to score points for their two respective houses, Cedar and Cypress. Cedar House managed to score the most points on the day and were crowned cross-country champions for the year.
