Historical photos of Kloof sought
Old photos of Kloof are needed for historical display.
THE Kloof Conservancy and WESSA (The Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) Highway Branch is appealing to the public for historical photographs of Kloof.
The plan is to to set up a permanent photographic display of “Pioneering Days in Kloof” at Luther “Skit” Field’s historic old home at Glenholme on the Kloof & Highway SPCA property. This will be the start of a small museum on the history of Kloof.
Of particular interest are photos from the 1800s and early 1900s but any pre-1970 photographs would also be of interest.
Visits to the historic home and exhibition will be included in the monthly nature walks which are held through the Glenholme Nature Reserve.
