Pupils collect 25 000 Easter eggs

Pupils at Winston Park Primary School collected, counted, boxed and distributed 25 000 eggs to underprivileged children in the area.

WINSTON Park Primary School’s Early Act Club collected 25 000 Easter eggs for underprivileged children.

During the first term of each year, the Early Act Club of Winston Park Primary, gets together, under the mentorship of Miss Peaches Nompilo Mchunu, to promote a cause very dear to their hearts. They encourage each child at Winston Park Primary to donate Easter eggs, which are collected, counted and boxed by the children. It is then distributed among the needy in the area, who probably otherwise would not receive any Easter eggs this year.

Mchunu and her team distributed more than 25 000 eggs among primary schools, crèches, old age homes and churches such as Rotary, Ekwandeni Primary, Intando Primary, Gillitts Primary, Sobhuza Crèche, Isiduduzo Crèche, John Conradie Old Age Home, UCC Church, Africa Church, Ndabezinhle Crèche, Ekujabuleni Crèche, and Round Table.

The pupils at Winston Park Primary were moved by the gratitude shown by the children of all ages.
