Safety forum in Durban

Communities are encouraged to attend the open safety forum.

With crime on the increase, communities are making active efforts to take back their neighbourhoods and make it safe again.

To this end, The Imagine Durban team is hosting an open forum discussion, “My City, My Safety, My Responsibility” to provide an opportunity to discuss the issue and the public is urged to attend. The event will take place on 29 May from 5pm to 7pm at the Durban Botanic Gardens.

Lyse Comins from Naybanet, Corné Broodryk from the Kloof Community Policing Forum and Martin Xaba, Head of the Safer Cities and Itrump Unit will do presentations.

This will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion with representatives from eThekwini Municipality, civil society and the business sector addressing safety challenges in the city.
