Missing boy (12) found mutilated

Fear and panic gripped the Clermont and KwaDabeka communities following reports that three children had been abducted in two of the primary schools in the area.

Some parents were so worried about their children’s safety they  left their places of work early to fetch their children from school after hearing rumours of cars going around snatching children.

This comes after a 12-year-old boy, Wonderboy Gcwensa who was missing for three weeks was found in a bush mutilated.

Another boy Ndumiso Mbutho (9) has been missing for two months.

On Thursday  residents  marched to KwaDabeka Police Station in an effort to draw police attention to these cases.

“We are now living in fear, we are parents and we scared for our children. We do not see what the police are doing to find the murderer.

“Even now there are reports that children are being snatched in schools but we do not see any police patrolling the streets and school,” said residents.

KwaDabeka Police station commander Col Sandra Nala said they have had no reports of abducted pupils.

“We only have two cases that are registered with us, Ndumiso and Wonderboy,  and we are still investigating.

Nala also denied the reports that a suspect has been arrested and two are still at large.
