Robbers prey on local business
A Malvern business was robbed by a gun-wielding men last week.
MALVERN SAPS are seeking witnesses or people who may have information following a business robbery in the area last week.
Last week an employee of a business in the Malvern area had conducted the day’s banking for the company and was on her way back to the business when she noticed that she was being followed.
She diverted and changed her route and made her way back to the business and handed over the necessary paper work to her employer before she left to complete other errands.
Later, well-dressed men entered the business and claimed to that they had an appointment with the owner .
The receptionist left her station to enquire with the manager about the said appointment but on her return to her desk she was accosted by the men who were then armed.
The gunmen rounded up all the employees in the office and held them in a common area while the business premises were being ransacked.
The men fled the scene with a substantial amount of cash , laptop and other valuables were taken.
