Stolen bag dropped off at woman’s home

"I guess I should be grateful, but now these criminals know where I live."

A CAR jamming experience for a New Germany woman turned into a nightmare when she found her bag that had been stolen from her car, on her property.

Princess Buthelezi parked her car at Chelsea SPAR, New Germany, to get a few things in the shop.

“I am usually very careful, I really do not know what made me forget to double check.

“My handbag was taken with all my cards, ID and drivers licence in it.

“On Wednesday, I woke up and found it lying by the gate inside my property.

Buthelezi said the thief or thieves only took the money and the fruits that were in her bag.

“I guess I should be grateful, but now these criminals know where I live, I am devastated,” she said.

Co-owner of Chelsea Spar Glen Jones said, “This has happened in many car parks in Pinetown which is the reason we employ a security guard who patrols in and out the store and we employ a car guard who watches the parking area all day.

“After this we will tighten up on security outside and I will check on the particular incident myself.”

Buthelezi said she would like to thank the security at SPAR for his assistance.

“Police also came to take my statement.

“I also want to warn other drivers to be careful when locking their cars.”
