Country market cancelled due to road works
The July Country Market has been cancelled due to road tarring.
The Hillcrest Country Market that was due to take place on Sunday, 6 July had to be cancelled due to road works.
The market takes place at Hillcrest Primary School in Emoyeni Drive, which will be closed for retarring from Monday, 30 June to Monday, 21 July.
Event organiser, Tracy said, “We had a meeting with WK Construction, the contractors undertaking the road works, and they confirmed that due to the scale of the project and the excavation required we would not be able to access Emoyeni Drive for the duration of the project.”
“We are greatly disappointed because we had a lovely “Heart of Winter” market planned for July and we apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience that has been caused and we trust that you understand that this situation is completely beyond our control.”
The next market will take place on Sunday, 3 August.
