HCA celebrates 20 years of existence

HCA held an emotional assembly honouring the founders of the school.

Curro Hillcrest Christian Academy celebrated an emotional Founders Day weekend in celebration of 20 years of existence.

A touching assembly was held on the Friday with the pupils, staff, special guests, founders and past Heads and Deputies. The South African flag and new Curro HCA flags were raised for the first time and the choir and marimba bands, added an extra special touch to the proceedings.

On the Sunday at City Hill Church they thanked God and honoured the school’s founders and staff for their heritage and their future. The church, along with the visionaries of founders, Eric and Gill Tocknell, Peter and Karen Rasmussen and Alvin and Christine Walenn, have laid the foundation on which the school has developed over the past two decades.

“Partnership is a key ingredient for success at any level of life, be it family, business, sport or education. HCA is indebted to its ownership and partnership with CityHill Church (formerly Hillcrest Christian Fellowship), and to its new ownership and partnership with Curro,” said Rozanne Milne, Marketing for HCA.

“We honour and applaud those who have invested into every child and family at Curro HCA during this time.”
