Water cuts expected in upper highway
Areas in the upper highway can expect water cuts tomorrow.

UPPER Highway areas will be affected by water supply cut-offs due to take place on Tuesday, 8 July from 7am to 4pm.
The cut-off is due to the construction of the second phase of the Western Aqueduct, where a section of the existing pipeline between 1000 Hills Drive and Alverstone Nek Reservoir, near Bothas Hill will be re-routed.
At 7am the necessary valves will be shut, and drainage of the affected section of the existing pipeline will begin. The pipework is expected to start at 9am, and be completed by 4pm.
All roads in the Drummond and KwaNyuswa areas will be affected. They are: 1000 Hills Drive, Nyala Road, Buffels Drift Road, Duiker Drive, River Road, Lilac Road, D706, Meadway Road (both sides of the N3), Sable Road, Protea Hill Road, Cheetah Crescent, Impala Ridge Drive, OMR Drummond, Valley Road, West Lane, Duiwelskloof Road, Lynx Road, Peaceway Road, Zulu Reserve Road.
This shut down of water supply will also affect the following areas: (with limited normal supply): Assagay, Summerveld, Peacevale, Bothas Hill, Embo, KwaNyuswa, Ngcolosi, Mabedlane, Mnamatha, Westriding, Hillcrest, Crestholme, Molweni, Gillitts, Kloof and Winston Park.
“Any areas that experience water interruptions beyond this planned period will be assisted by water tankers to the best of our ability,” said Head of Communications for eThekwini Municipality, Tozi Mthethwa.
