Pedestrian killed on N3
ER24 paramedics rushed to the N3 in Westville to attend to a pedestrian who had been hit by several vehicles.
A PEDESTRIAN was killed and another one was critically injured on the N3 in Westville on Saturday morning.
According to Luyanda Majija, media spokesman for ER24, paramedics arrived on scene after 1pm and found that a taxi was broken down along the highway with several people milling about the scene.
“The deceased pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was hit by multiple vehicles in the fast lane,” said Majija. She said the critically injured pedestrian had severe suspected fractures and was hit by several vehicles in the slow lane.
“He was transported to King Edward Hospital for urgent medical care,” said Majija.
The local SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating.
