GELOFTE Skool in Pinetown showed their support to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) by holding a civvies day for pupils recently.
The pupils donated R5 each to the school to wear their civvies to school in honour of breast cancer awareness month. The condition was that the clothing had to be pink – which the pupils thought was fun.
Some pupils contributed more than R5 each raising the total to R3000.
Marlene Pretorius, the community mobiliser for CANSA, thanked the pupils and staff at the school for their donation and support in creating awareness about breast cancer.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
