THE Durban West Groups of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) will hold their 26th Annual Rally on Saturday, June 27, at Forest View Primary School, 1 Ridge Road, Forest Hills.
The event begins at 14:00 with registration opening at 13:00. Registration for visitors and newcomers is free.
Open to anyone who feels they may have a problem with alcohol, the Rally provides a welcoming, confidential space to hear personal recovery stories, learn about AA’s Twelve-Step programme, and connect with local members and support services.
The programme will include speaker meetings, fellowship time, and information tables for families and newcomers.
“We aim to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where people can find hope and practical support,” said Jeff R, one of the Rally organisers.

“Too often people feel isolated by their drinking. Events like this remind the community that recovery is possible and help is close at hand.”
Another organiser, Archie D, added, “Whether you’re new to AA, a longtime member, or supporting a loved one, you’ll find understanding and resources here. We encourage anyone who’s concerned about their drinking to come and speak to someone, there’s no cost to attend as a guest, just a willingness to reach out.”
Family members, friends, and community supporters are welcome to attend.
