Tales of a traveling chair launched

The perfect stocking filler.

DREAMS for Africa, a book that has been five years in the making a the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, is now available for purchase.

According to Paula Thomson, the craft coordinator at the HACT, the centre has reached one of its many dreams with the sale of the chair and the publication of the book. “This dream has only been made possible by the amazing photographers that donated their time. From Matthew Willman, who took the bulk of the pictures and also managed the publishing to Peter Upfold and Dominic Ronzo. A special thanks to Claudia Krumhoff and all the Woza Moya staff who were part of the journey. Thank you to everyone who helped us and to Lotto for funding the publication of the book,” said Paula.

The proceeds from the sale of the chair as well as from the book will go to the centre’s building fund, the creation of a training centre and a training programme that will benefit more grassroots crafters and their children.

The book can be purchased at the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust’s Woza Moya shop, 26 Old Main Road in Hillcrest, for R250 each. Contact 031 765 5866.
