Taxi flips on Old Main Road

One person was injured when a car and a minibus taxi collided on Old Main Road on Thursday morning.

ONE person was injured when a car and a minibus taxi collided along Old main Road in Pinetown this morning (Thursday, 15 January).

“Exact details of the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment,” said Netcare 911’s Chris Botha.

Netcare 911 paramedics said they arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed by the damaged vehicles.

According to Netcare, the taxi had overturned and came to rest on its side. Paramedics found that one of the drivers, a woman who was driving the car, had sustained minor injuries. All the other people involved escaped uninjured.

“After paramedics treated the injured female at the scene they transported her to a hospital in Durban,” Botha added.
