Jaws of life used to free woman in M7 accident
A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle.
A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle after it landed several metres down an embankment on Saturday morning (31 January) on the M7 freeway in Pinetown.
It is understood the woman lost control of the vehicle and hit a barrier. The vehicle landed at the bottom of an embankment about 10 metres away from the road between some trees.
ER24 paramedics, Fire and Rescue Services and other authorities attended to the scene. The jaws of life had to be used to extricate the woman from the vehicle.
Once removed, paramedics assessed the woman. She was treated for moderate injuries and transported to hospital.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
