Learn to live a healthy life at wellness day
This is a first ever event of its kind - a day for education and empowering attendees to take control of their health and lives and to set a course towards vitality.

DURBAN’s leading health and wellness practitioners will present the latest scientific research on how to take control of your wellness through weight loss, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
Dr Hennie Palm has taken the initiative to organise this wellness day, which takes place at Barker Manor, 60 Old Main Road in Kloof on Saturday, 28 February from 8.30am to 2pm.
The aim is to provide scientifically-based information to people who value their health or who might be suffering from disease. This group will also present evidence to refute the large body of disinformation on several topics such as diets, exercise, nutrition, how to identify and avoid toxins in food, cosmetics and the environment, promoting health, the many myths about detoxification and much more.
There are five speakers. Natasha Louw (M Tech Hom) will talk about functional health, the difference between restoring health and managing disease and the functional medicine revolution.
Dr Hennie Palm will talk about whole person wellness, which is a holistic approach to functional wellness. He will discuss proven results from improved nutrition, emotional wellbeing, positive relationships, regular exercise, cellular health and optimal hormonal balance.
Kerry Ann Doloway RD (SA) will talk about resistance weight loss and help you select a weight loss plan best suited to your body shape.
Susanne van der Merwe (M.ScMol/Biol) will talk about toxic burn. She will raise awareness about how our lifestyle choices can affect our ability to regain and maintain health and provide tips on how to reduce toxic burden in both our bodies and our day lives to boost our health.
Lastly, Nic Burden will discuss exercise regime for optimal health benefits.
The cost is R150, which needs to be paid by 18 February to secure a reservation. For bookings contact Estelle on 072 595 8416 or email her on estelle@giant-within.com to reserve your place. There are only 100 seats available.
