High school learners needed for Shakespearean play

The Rising Star Performing Arts School is looking for 15 to 20 young performers (Grade 7 to 11) to be cast in the RSPA theatre play, ‘The Merchant of Venice’.

The production will be staged at The Playhouse Theatre in September as part of the Shakespeare for Schools Festival.

Auditions will take place at the Westville Theatre Club, Attercliffe Road, Westville on 21 March from 12pm to 3pm. Rehearsals will take place at the same venue on Saturdays, from 25 April to 29 August from 12pm to 2pm, and during the July holidays on 29 July from 12pm to 5pm.
