Ashley pupils collect over 100 bags of donations for SPCA

The pupils filled the bags with items that can sold to raise funds.

Ashley Junior Primary School Grade R to Grade 3 pupils filled over 100 Kloof & Highway SPCA-branded plastic bags with items that can be resold in the SPCA’s charity shops.

Lesley Cuthbert, an Ashley Junior Primary School teacher, had contacted the Kloof SPCA, informing them that the pupils wanted to give back to the community by assisting to raise funds.

Kloof & Highway SPCA Education Officer, Thando Ndlovu, went to the school to give a fun, enthusiastic and informative talk to the pupils about the SPCA and animal welfare, and to collect the donations.

“We would like to thank all the pupils and teachers from Ashley Junior Primary School for all their time, effort and generous donations. All the animals will greatly benefit from their hard work and dedication,” said Lisa Gadd, public relations officer for the SPCA.
