Kloof Conservancy Open Gardens to focus on Cotswolds Estate
The Indigenous Open Gardens is Kloof Conservancy's biggest fundraiser.

The Kloof Conservancy Indigenous Open Gardens show will take place at Cotswold Downs Estate over the weekend of 16 and 17 May, and will showcase the efforts made by the estate to develop a large property in an environmentally-sensitive manner, rather than focus on individual gardens.
The great line-up of activities include bird walks with Dereck Spencer and BirdLife Port Natal; butterfly garden and walks with Steve Woodhall; old forest tree walk with Richard Boon and Wilf Sperring; aloe garden with Ben Botha; several self-guided walks, including a beautiful riverine forest walk; and garden crafts and nurseries. Authors present will include Elsa Pooley, Geoff Nichols, Richard Boon and Charles Botha.
The tea garden will be situated in a beautiful setting on the edge of the dam, as well as entertainment by the KZN Youth Wind Orchestra (Saturday midday) and the Thomas More College marimba band (Sunday midday).
This is Kloof Conservancy’s main fundraiser for the year, and funds raised from this event are the main source of funding for the bulk of their projects. The public is encouraged to support this very popular event.
