Truck injures six pupils in a school parking lot

Six pupils were hit by a truck in a school in KwaDabeka.

SIX pupils were injured at a school in KwaDabeka when a truck drove through a parking lot on Thursday afternoon.

The six pupils, all aged 16, were found lying in the parking lot with teachers and residents attending to them.

ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring, said a truck hit six children before stopping in a yard next to the school.

“Paramedics discovered that all six schoolgirls, as well as the truck driver, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately no-one had sustained any serious injuries,” said Meiring.

Paramedics treated the patients on scene and transported them to a medical facility.

Local authorities will be investigating the cause of the accident.
