DSW Staff celebrate heritage

Employees from various depos gathered to celebrate this significant day.

THE Durban Solid Waste staff from the inner and outer west held their annual cultural day to celebrate Heritage Month.

Staff from various depos – New Germany, Queensburgh and Wyebank – gathered at the Clermont Community Hall dressed in their traditional outfits.

Different groups performed traditional songs and dances. DSW area cleansing officer, Amos Msomi, said the day helped the staff understand each other better as they learnt about different cultures.

“Everyone leaves with a bit of knowledge about certain cultures and tastes different food,” said Msomi.
