Blood drive helps fill dwindling stocks
People are encouraged to donate blood at their nearest blood banks.
THE Hillcrest Donor Centre collected 32 pints of blood at a Hillcrest Rotary Club assisted blood drive on Saturday.
Robbie Howes from Rotary was on duty to cook and hand donors a boerewors roll after donating blood in an attempt to increase the blood stocks.
Ingrid Marlton, clinic supervisor, said this was a very important event as blood supplies run low during school holidays as 26 per cent of their supplies come from school drives.
People are encouraged to go along and donate blood at their nearest blood bank.
