Car club closes its doors with generous donation
Kloof and Highway SPCA receives a much-needed donation.
MEMBERS of the East Coast Cruisers Car Club donated a new anaesthetic machine to the Kloof and Highway SPCA. The animal shelter and clinic facility had been in desperate need of a new anaesthetic machine in its theatre as its demands have almost doubled in the last year alone.
The new machine will ensure that surgeries are performed at a much more effective and efficient rate. Public Relations Officer at the branch, Lisa Gadd, said the family-owned car club had had to close its doors.
“East Coast Cruiser Car Club had been a Pinetown-based family car club for over 17 years.
“They closed at the end of August due to financial constraints. The members raised the funds to purchase the new anaesthetic machine by selling off remaining assets from the car club,” she said.
Gadd conveyed her thanks to the club for the generous donation of the much-needed anaesthetic machine for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.
