‘Highwaymen’ are back
This is an all-male choir and members range in age and experience but it is the fusion of individual voices that makes for a great sound.
HIGHWAYMEN barbershop chorus choir are delighted to be back in action after their end-of-year recess and look forward to performing for the public once more.
This enthusiastic group of choristers are specialists in ‘a capella’ singing in the barbershop tradition of special four-part harmony, with its unique sound.
The group has been in existence for many years, the last four under the guidance of Joyce Campbell, their talented musical director, and has developed a wide repertoire of songs to offer the public.
Aside from this though, members acknowledge that they sing for the sheer pleasure of making satisfying music and that they would not easily miss their regular Monday evening practice, even without the motivation of a public appearance . This is an all-male choir and members range in age and experience but it is the fusion of individual voices that makes for a great sound.
Practices are currently held in the Westville Bowling club premises and anyone interested in singing is welcome to go along and listen to a practice. Better still, if you are male, go one step further and join the group for that special camaraderie that comes from producing something worthwhile as a team.
