UPDATE: Woman mauled by dogs in Waterfall
The woman is currently in recovery after surgery while her Jack Russell, Zac, is being operated on today.

A CRESTHOLME family was left in a state of shock after they and their Jack Russell were attacked by two dogs in their yard on Monday, 22 February.
According to the home-owner, who did not wish to be named, her daughter lives on her property in a granny cottage and it was the daughter’s dog, Zac, that was attacked.
The daughter, who is in her early fifties, let her Jack Russell out into the garden at 7.30am and went back inside. A short while later, she heard a noise and rushed out of the house and up the driveway, where she saw two large dogs in the garden, a pitbull and a boerboel, attacking the seven-year-old Zac.
The daughter rushed in to try and help her dog and said she either tripped or was knocked over. The two dogs launched a fresh attack on the daughter, who was on the ground. She escaped the mauling and, covered in blood, ran to her mother’s front door to get help.
The mother grabbed a broom and her taser and both women ran back to try and save the Jack Russell. The mother said the dogs then turned on them as they neared their pet. The victim’s father rushed to open the front gate and the two dogs ran out of the yard and started attacking another dog across the road. He then called the paramedics.
Paramedics stabilised the daughter at the scene and she was taken to a nearby hospital. She is currently recovering after surgery. Her dog, which was also wounded in the attack, was taken to a local vet and went into surgery on Tuesday.
