Bellair SAPS reach out
All members of the community are welcomed to get involved with the programme.
BELLAIR SAPS visited various informal settlements in the area on Friday, 1 April, to talk to residents and give them hot dogs. As part of the police station’s community outreach programme, a team of officers visited Coedmore, Heathcoat, Freemantle as well as Arundel Gardens Settlements.
Acting communications officer, W/O Prakash Kumar, said they regularly visit residents to talk to them about safety. “We go out to interact with the community, talking to children and adults about safety in informal settlements,” he said. Kumar added that residents should be always alert about the dangers of live wires, open pit toilets and the dense bushes around them.
