Soccer legends inspire Pinetown Boys’

Lucas Radebe and Mark Fish represented a soccer competition called the Vodacom Next Challenge.

TWO South African soccer legends, Lucas Radebe and Mark Fish visited Pinetown Boys’ High School recently.

The two legends represented a soccer competition called the Vodacom Next Challenge which encourages pupils to upload videos of themselves playing soccer and showcasing their skills.

“If your video is selected, pupil stand a chance of going to a camp in Pretoria and they could be picked to train and become a professional soccer player,” said Sharlene Moodley from PBHS.

The under 14A, U15A, U16A soccer players and some of the school staff were given the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills on the field.

“It was a wonderful, fun, life-changing experience as we all had the chance to meet and converse with the legends and listen to their experiences.

“We would like to express a huge thank you to Lucas Radebe and Mark Fish who took the time out of their busy schedules to come and spend time with us,” said Moodley.
