GALLERY: 31 Club raises funds at African Dream high tea

The principle aim of the 31 Club is to raise funds for charities in KwaZulu-Natal.

THE 31 Club hosted an African Dream high tea at the St Agnes Church, Kloof on Thursday, 1 September, sponsored by Sorbet Gateway and Granada Square.

The 31 Club is a registered non-profit fundraising organisation which was formed in 1962 by a group of women under the chairmanship of Norma Rattray. As the group consisted of 31 volunteers, the club was named accordingly, and membership remains at a maximum of 31 members, who work on a voluntary basis.

The principle aim of the 31 Club is to raise funds for charities in KwaZulu-Natal. The 31 Club is a successful organisation, with about 98 per cent of all funds raised being distributed to selected and monitored charities, which the club has done for over 53 years.

Guests enjoyed a cooking demo by Callie-Anne Gavazzi of Callie-Anne Cooks and entertainment by singer-song writer, Eric Canham.

Sorbet also offered free massages and complimentary mini manicures.
