No stampede at Pavilion, mall confirms

ER24 spokesman said only one woman was injured when she fell in a queue.

RUMOURS about an alleged stampede at Pavilion Shopping Centre have been debunked by the mall’s security office and paramedics.

According to ER24’s spokesman, Werner Vermaak, there was no stampede, however one woman injured her shoulder when she fell after she was pushed in a queue. He said the woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Shoppers are urged to be careful during today’s Black Friday sales.
