Audience moved at local production

The play at Hillcrest Primary School was a runaway success.

WEEKS of pressure and intense rehearsals paid off for the talented Grade 7 Hillcrest Primary School cast of the musical, Move It.

The show, directed by Dorothy Storm, was lauded as a great success as the learners performed five energetic shows to sold out audiences. The combination of music, story line and phenomenal dancing made it a memorable production. Most of the performers, who had no acting or dancing experience, performed on stage like professionals. The hip hop vibe spread throughout the crowd, as they tapped along to the rhythm of the night.

More than 100 Grade 7 students took part in this production with lead roles being ably played by Slaide Bowden, Tora Keating, Alec Gibson and Simphiwe Mkhize.
