Westville Rotary collects 166 food hampers
The Rotary Club thanked people for their continued support.
MEMBERS and friends of The Rotary Club of Westville collected groceries outside Westville SPAR and Village Market Pick n Pay, to make Christmas Hampers for needy old-age pensioners in the Highway community.
With the generous donations from the public, the Rotary Club managed to make 166 hampers. Sue Walker, PR chairman of the Rotary Club of Westville said, some of the hampers go directly to the Rotary charity projects and the other hampersĀ are delivered to The Highway Aged in Pinetown, for distribution within the greater Highway area of Durban.
“Such a project could not happen without the support of many people.”
“We would like to extend our grateful thanks and appreciation to the generous shoppers, the management and staff of Westville Superspar, the management of The Village Market centre and the management and staff at Pick n Pay for their continued support of this worthy project. These wonderful hampers bring such joy to the recipients,” said Walker.
