Seven injured in Pinetown crash

Two vehicles had collided obstructing the busy highway.

SEVEN people suffered various injuries after two vehicles collided on the N3 north bound before Richmond Road offramp in Pinetown this afternoon.

According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care, paramedics were called to a collision in Pinetown just after 3pm.

“They found two vehicles had collided obstructing the busy highway. Seven people were found on the side of the road. They suffered various injuries and more ambulances were called to assist,” said Jamieson.

The injured were stabilised and then taken to various Durban Hospitals. At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS will be investigating.
