Security guards seriously injured in Field’s Hill accident

In a separate incident, three people were injured in Paradise Valley Bridge.

TWO men were injured when the driver of a cash-in-transit vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned last night.

Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Chris Botha said paramedics responded to a collision on the M13, at the bottom of Field’s Hill in Pinetown.

“Two security guards were found with serious injuries. They were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.

“One of the patient’s injuries necessitated the Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support paramedic to intervene and treat the patient en-route to hospital,” said Botha.

In a separate incident, three people were injured after the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled several times on the N3 Durban bound just after the Paradise Valley bridge, yesterday afternoon.

“Three occupants sustained minor to moderate injuries and were stabilised at the scene before they were transported to hospital,” said Rescue Care Paramedics operations director, Garrith Jamieson.
