Joy streams in with JoJo tank donation
The creche caters for nearly 50 littlies and is unable to open due to its unreliable water supply.

A LOCAL company, PJ’s Plumbers, recently installed a JoJo tank at an underprivileged creche in the Valley of 1 000 Hills ensuring it always has access to a supply of water.
A group of B-tech nursing management students were tasked to help a community with its health needs as part of their project planning and development course.

PJ’s Plumbers was informed of the need for a constant water supply and the team quickly stepped in.
“The daycare centre is affected by an unreliable supply of water and it is usually forced to close early or not open at all. The result is that parents cannot go to work or older siblings miss school to look after the children,” said Diholo Duliana, one of the students.

Vicki Marinovich of PJ’s Plumbers said they donated the tank and installed it free of charge for the school.
“They would have water cuts for up to seven days sometimes. The JoJo tank will really help with just allowing them to flush toilets and wash up. We wanted to bring this project to the attention of the general public as there are so many other small schools just like this that struggle with water cuts, it would be lovely if we could spark more interest and generate other initiatives like this to help local schools and creches,” she said.
