Man dies in afternoon crash in Seaview

It is believed, the driver of the single vehicle crossed from the west bound carriageway through the median and landed on the east bound carriageway during the accident.

A MAN was killed in a crash on the M7 near the Engen Garage in Seaview on Monday afternoon (20 November) around 4pm.

Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the scene to find that the driver of a single vehicle had crossed from the west bound carriageway through the median and landed on the east bound carriageway.

“The man believed to be the driver sustained major injuries. Paramedics assessed him and found that he had passed away. He was declared deceased on the scene,” said Rescue Care spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson.

At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown. SAPS were on scene and will be investigating.
