UPDATE: Police recover two more cars stolen from a Pinetown dealership

Police investigations led officers to the KK Hostel where a BMW and a Mercedes Benz were recovered. A Nissan Hardbody which was stolen in Kloof during a house robbery was also recovered.

POLICE have recovered two more vehicles that were stolen at a car dealership in Pinetown.

Armed men who posed as shoppers fled with five cars; three Mercedes Benz, a BMW and a Ford Eco sport after they assaulted two security guards and tied them up on Sunday morning.

One of the Mercedes Benz was recovered on Sunday at KK Hostel after police were alerted of a silver grey Mercedes Benz that was seen being driven at a high speed in the KwaDabeka township.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele said on Monday, police investigations led them to the KK hostel in KwaDabeka where they found the two vehicles, a BMW and a Mercedes Benz parked outside.

He said a Nissan Hardbody double cab was also recovered.

“The vehicle was taken during a house robbery in Kloof where two women were accosted by two armed men who took R 4500 cash, a tablet, a lap top and the vehicle. Police investigations continue,” said Manqele.
