Exercise your brain by reading

Wyebank Library urged the community to use the services they offer.

STICKING to the theme for the day, ‘Exercise your brain with the book at your library’, Wyebank Library invites the community for a workout while also encouraging them to read.

Librarian, Sindi Mbanjwa, said just like exercising is good for people’s physical health, reading is good for one’s mentality and mental wellness.

“Reading also boosts one’s confidence and knowledge. We urge people to visit the library often and become members. Libraries offer free services and if we can all read a book from time to time, the world would be a better place,” she said.

The library hosted this initiative for the first time on Saturday and Mbanjwa said they hope to do it on a regular basis as people enjoyed the event.

“We thank everyone who supported us and donated fruit, healthy bread and their time to guide us with the workouts,” she added.
