Learners add colour to Madiba Day celebrations

The learners at Atholl Heights Primary School took part in a variety of projects to uplift their local communities on Mandela Day.

ATHOLL Heights Primary School learners participated enthusiastically in a variety of activities for Mandela Day.

These ranged from making South African-shaped cookies with flags, sucker butterflies, colouring-in booklets with crayons, sandwiches and popcorn, pot plants, beautifully coloured boxes with food and clothing, skipping ropes, dog toys and more.

The goods were donated to The Junaid Foundation, King George Hospital School, the Kloof and Highway SPCA, Homeleigh Haven, Enkanyezi Creche in Chesterville, Udobo School, Bethany Gardens in Pinetown, the Pinetown Methodist Church and other worthy causes.

“Many thanks go to our generous Atholl Heights families and dedicated teachers,” said the school’s principal, Lloyd Wing.
