KZN police spokesman, Brigadier Jay Naicker, said it is alleged that the officer is from the Westville police station and the incident occurred on Thursday when he was off duty.

“Major General Sayer has been in touch with management at the shopping centre concerned who will be assisting us with the investigation.

“The Acting Provincial Commissioner is following the investigation as we view such misconduct by our police officers in a very serious light,” said Naicker.

According to witnesses the officer reeked of alcohol and was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites.
