
GRADE 4 St Mary’s DSG, Kloof learner, Erin Mayoss, is making waves and is the school’s primary school SPAR Star of the Month. During the July holidays, she competed in the SASOL National Championships in Sasolburg and scooped nine placings and walked away with two gold medals, five silver medals and two bronze medals.
Erin won gold in the individual 50m freestyle race and as a part of the 4x50m freestyle ladder relay team.
Erin is part of the Kloof Swimming Club under head coach, Nick Gray, and trains an average of two hours a day from Monday to Friday. She also enjoys ballet and drum lessons and loves singing.
Erin looks up to Grade 7 St Mary’s learner, Tayla Haslam. Erin’s favourite stroke is freestyle and her dream is to swim for South Africa in the Olympic Games.
